Appreciate a stylish and secure river crossing on boats inspired by the traditional Rabelos, once used to transport Port wine from the Douro Valley to Porto's cellars. Named 'Serra do Pilar' and 'Casa do Infante' as a tribute to the iconic cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, these boats offer a voyage rich in history and appeal.

With departures in every 15 minutes from 10 AM until sunset, choose a time that suits your day of exploration. Each ride takes just 5 minutes, swiftly taking you to the other side.

Admire the scenery and even capture a few photos to preserve the enjoyable memories of the voyage.

Instructions

  • Douro River Ferry has two docks, which are located on the Ribeira riverfront and the Gaia riverfront
  • Use your ticket anytime on the chosen date during operating hours (depending on the boat's capacity at the time of arrival)
  • Boats depart every 15 minutes
  • Douro River Ferry is open everyday from 10:00 AM until 01:00 PM and from 02:00 PM until sunset. The last crossing is scheduled at 05:35 PM to Porto and 05:45 PM to Gaia
  • Show your ticket to the staff
